Students in Anaheim, CA, Pine Bluff, AR, Las Vegas, NV and Minneapolis, MN will benefit from the program...In 2008, helped fund a youth softball field project (Torii Hunter Field) along with Magical Builders which will serve as a home to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Placentia and the Angels' RBI League...Hosted Amanda West for a game and pre-game recognition at Angel Stadium as part of the Major League Baseball's "Breaking Barriers" program...Served Angels team representative for MLB's Home Run Challenge to benefit the Prostate Cancer Foundation...Selected as the 2007 Marvin Miller Man of the Year by the MLB Players Association...Award is given to the player whose on-field and off-field performances most inspires others to a higher level of achievement...Was actively involved in several community endeavors while with Twins...Is dedicated to getting involved in Southern California community and various charitable endeavors...Established the Torii Hunter Project, which partners with Little League Baseball's Urban Initiative to help improve and maintain baseball diamonds in urban cities...Won first ever Mike Augustin Award in 2006 as Twins player who fosters healthy relations with the media...2002 Twins representative for the Roberto Clemente Award...2004 recipient of the Carl R.
